We spent 10 wonderful days at Victoria Campground on Lake Allatoona, Woodstock, Georgia. Besides being a beautiful lakefront campground, this Corps of Engineers Campground takes our America the Beautiful Senior Pass giving us 50% discount, and best of all, it's near family there and a short distance from where Bill keeps his boat. It was really hot a few days, but most days it was pleasantly cool in the shade, and there's plenty of shade throughout the whole campground.

Much of the fam came over after we arrived a bringing barbeque picnic for us to share. Then on to the boat for a ride.
So happy to see our great-grandson. He is growing too fast.

Outside of time with family, we stuck close to home in the campground. We had sent the truck in to Bill's shop after the check engine light came on. Evidently, a squirrel chewed through the top of the fuel tank at the vapor line. The fuel tank and lines had to be replaced. So glad it happened here instead of later in the trip. With plenty of time planned there, we were able to just relax and enjoy.
Late in the afternoon July 3, we went out in the boat again with Averie and family and Emma and friends joining us. After they finished surfing, Bill took us up the lake to where fireworks were after dark. Cruze stayed at Mimi's since it would be a late night out. It was a fun time and great fun meeting Emma's friends.

We said our good-byes yesterday and got on the road this morning heading north for our summer trip.
Looks like a lot of fun family time! Glad you caught the problem with the truck. That would have been a royal pain if you'd caught it later in the trip.
Never thought a squirrel would chew through those kind of items, but I find it is actually a common problem. Now to figure out how to keep it from happening again. Glad you had fun with family, enjoy your summer travels.
